HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) is a natural hormone found in women who are in the early stages of pregnancy. It was discovered in 1954 by Dr. Albert T. W. Simeons, who observed the way in which the body turned stored fat reserves into nutrition for the placenta in order to nourish and protect the fetus. Dr. Simeons realized that, when applied to weight loss, abnormal fat could be liquefied while protecting the structural fat (muscle). He realized that the HCG hormone could actually drain fat cells and, combined with a low calorie diet, transform them into positive natural energy resulting in quick, effective, and safe weight loss.

What does HCG do and how does it work?

HCG releases 1500-4000 calories a day into your system, sending signals to the area of the brain that affect metabolism (hypothalamus). The HCG Weight Loss plan requires you to keep a balanced diet of no more than 500 calories a day.  The diet consists of a healthy variety of proteins, vegetables and fruits, with a small amount of starch.

  • Be prepared—shop for foods necessary to the diet before you begin treatment
  • Use spices: salt, pepper, vinegar, mustard powder, garlic, basil, parsley, thyme, marjoram for seasoning, but avoid oil, butter or dressing
  • Cook meals and freeze them for quick preparation
  • Drink tea, coffee, plain water, or mineral water (2 liters of water per day is recommended)
  • Eat fruit or bread sticks between meals for a healthy snack
  • Grill away fat before eating foods
